We are delighted to
announce that the lucky winner of the #608 challenge is:
No 4 Marjeta
Marjeta created such
a joyful and uplifting card, full of warmth, colour, and wonderful attention to
detail. The adorable little bear flying through the clouds in his vintage-style
aeroplane immediately captures your attention and brings a real sense of fun
and adventure to the design.
The colouring
throughout is beautifully done, with rich warm tones on the bear contrasting
perfectly against the soft sky blues in the background. The shading on the
plane adds lovely depth and dimension, while the flowing scarf and tiny details
help give the image movement and personality.
We also loved the way
the layered cloud elements and curved background panels frame the focal image
so naturally, creating a wonderful sense of the bear soaring through the sky.
The soft cloud paper and clean layout stop the design from feeling too busy,
allowing the main image to remain the true star of the card.
This project feels
cheerful, comforting, and full of positive energy, which makes it a perfect fit
for the challenge theme. Every element works together beautifully, resulting in
a card that feels polished, creative, and full of charm.
Huge congratulations,
Marjeta. A truly deserving winner.

No 3 The Crafty
Den
The Crafty Den
created such a sweet and charming Christmas card, proving beautifully that
sometimes less really is more. The clean white space allows the adorable
festive sheep to take centre stage, instantly drawing the eye to all the lovely
little details within the image.
Each character has
been coloured with a soft and delicate touch, while the tiny pops of red and
green add just the right amount of festive colour without overwhelming the
elegant simplicity of the design. The musical staff theme running across the
card adds movement and whimsy, making the whole scene feel playful and full of
personality.
We especially loved
how balanced and uncluttered the layout feels. Leaving so much open space was a
very confident design choice and it works perfectly, giving the card a modern,
stylish finish while still keeping all the warmth and fun of a handmade Christmas
creation.
A beautifully clean
and cheerful card filled with character, detail, and festive charm.

16 Aunty Sue
Aunty
Sue created a beautifully stylish and elegant card with such a soft and modern
feel. The fashionable character image instantly catches the eye, and the warm
yellow tones paired with the delicate pink florals work together wonderfully to
create a design that feels both cheerful and sophisticated.
The
colouring on the character is beautifully balanced, with lovely soft shading
that keeps the image looking natural and refined. We especially loved the
little details, from the floral accents tucked into the handbag to the gentle
folds within the clothing, all of which add extra depth and personality to the
piece.
The
layout itself is very well designed, with the vertical floral panel bringing a
lovely sense of balance and helping frame the focal image perfectly. The mix of
patterned papers and soft pastel colours gives the card a polished finish
without overpowering the central design.
A
gorgeous handmade creation filled with elegance, charm, and thoughtful detail.
No 17 Meg
Meg created a
beautifully elegant and understated birthday card that proves how effective
clean and simple design can be. The delicate lily of the valley image has been
coloured so softly and naturally, allowing the gentle greens and tiny white
flowers to stand out beautifully against the crisp white background.
The embossed detail
around the edges adds subtle texture and depth without distracting from the
focal image, while the vellum sentiment strip gives the whole design a graceful
and polished finish. Everything feels carefully balanced and thoughtfully placed.
We especially loved
the calm and sophisticated feel of this card. The simplicity of the layout
allows the beautiful floral image to truly shine, creating a design that feels
timeless, refined, and incredibly classy.

✨ Sharon
Sharon has created a beautifully
detailed and heartfelt Get Well Soon card, filled with lovely layered elements,
soft florals, and a wonderfully warm colour palette. The entire design feels
thoughtful and elegant, while still keeping that gentle, comforting feel that
suits the theme so perfectly.
The floral background papers
immediately catch the eye and create a rich, decorative base for the design.
The soft pinks, muted greens, and dusky floral tones work together beautifully,
giving the card a classic and feminine feel without becoming overpowering. The
sage green circular frame helps anchor the focal image and adds balance to the
busier patterned background.
The colouring on the main image
is lovely and vibrant. The bright pink dress draws the eye straight to the
character, while the softer browns and greens keep everything harmonious. The
striped tights add a playful touch and help give the image extra personality
and movement. Sharon has also used shading very effectively to keep the image
crisp and defined against the detailed papers behind it.
The layering throughout this card
is especially effective. The stitched borders, lace-style die cuts, dimensional
flower embellishment, pearls, and sentiment strips all add depth and texture,
creating a project that feels full and luxurious without losing focus. Every
element has been positioned carefully so the design still feels balanced and
easy to look at.
The larger sentiment along the
bottom finishes the card beautifully and reinforces the caring message behind
the design. Altogether, this is a gorgeous example of combining patterned
papers, layering techniques, soft embellishments, and detailed colouring to
create a truly thoughtful and eye-catching Get Well Soon card.
✨
Clare
Clare has created such a soft, heartfelt, and beautifully elegant design for the Get Well Soon theme. The overall card has a wonderfully gentle feel to it, combining delicate colouring with rich floral papers and a sweet comforting sentiment that instantly makes the project feel thoughtful and uplifting.
The colouring on the
character is beautifully subtle and controlled. The soft shading in the hair
gives lovely dimension while keeping the image light and delicate, and the
pastel tones throughout the clothing and flowers create a calm and soothing
colour palette. The tiny floral details and little heart accents on the outfit
add extra charm without overwhelming the clean look of the image.
One of the strongest
elements of this design is the beautiful balance between the detailed floral
background and the simplicity of the focal panel. The floral paper adds
richness, colour, and visual interest, while the large white image panel gives
the eye space to rest and allows the character to remain the centre of
attention.
The plum and
berry-toned matting frames the design perfectly and ties the colours together
beautifully throughout the card. The sentiment placement in the corner works
really well too, adding a warm emotional touch while helping balance the
composition visually.
There is also a
lovely softness to the overall style of this card. Nothing feels overcrowded or
too heavy. Instead, the gentle colouring, floral papers, pearls, and sweet
image combine to create a project that feels comforting, caring, and full of
kindness, which is exactly what a good Get Well Soon card should do.

✨ Helen
Helen has created such a warm and comforting Get Well Soon card, using soft colouring and clean layering techniques to produce a design that feels both cheerful and thoughtful. The adorable bear image instantly becomes the focal point, while the bouquet of flowers adds a lovely sense of kindness and care that fits the theme perfectly.
The colouring style is beautifully soft and
controlled, with smooth blending throughout the bear’s fur and floral elements.
Rather than using harsh contrasts, Helen has kept the tones gentle and natural,
which gives the entire card a calming and comforting feel. The subtle shading
around the bear adds depth without making the image feel heavy, while the warm
yellow tones in the flowers tie beautifully into the background paper.
The layout itself is very well balanced. The
arched frame helps draw the eye directly toward the main image, creating a neat
and elegant focal area. The brown matting adds definition and warmth, stopping
the softer colours from becoming too pale against the white background.
One of the standout details is the patterned
paper filled with tiny yellow hearts. It brings a lovely sense of positivity
and brightness to the design without overwhelming the focal image. The small
gem embellishments add just enough sparkle and polish to finish the card
beautifully while still keeping the overall style clean and uncluttered.
This is a wonderful example of how soft
colouring, thoughtful layering, and a carefully chosen colour palette can
create a handmade card that feels genuinely uplifting and full of care.
✨ Ileana
Ileana has created such a sweet and uplifting Get Well Soon card, filled with
warmth, colour, and lovely thoughtful details. The adorable teddy holding the
bouquet of flowers immediately gives the design a caring and comforting feel,
making it a perfect interpretation of the challenge theme.
The colouring
throughout is beautifully soft and well blended, especially on the teddy’s fur
where the gentle shading adds depth and dimension while still keeping the image
light and cute. The flowers bring a lovely burst of brightness to the design,
with the pinks and yellows tying perfectly into the overall colour palette.
The strong pink
gingham background gives the card a cheerful and cosy feel, while the layered
lettering adds extra depth and visual interest. Using the large “hello”
sentiment behind the smaller Get Well Soon greeting was a really clever design
choice, helping create a modern and eye-catching layout without overcrowding
the card. There are also lots of lovely finishing touches throughout the
project. The tiny butterfly embellishments and gems add sparkle and movement,
while the twine bow introduces texture and softness that balance the clean
lines of the layout beautifully. This card is a wonderful example of combining
cute imagery, soft colouring techniques, layered die cuts, and thoughtful
embellishments to create something that feels genuinely comforting and
uplifting for someone needing a little extra kindness.
✨Judith
Judith has created such a lovely, gentle design for the Get Well Soon theme, combining adorable imagery with beautifully soft colouring and a clean, calming layout. The sweet scene instantly tells a story, with the poorly teddy tucked up in bed and the little nurse standing nearby ready to help, giving the card a comforting and caring feel from the very first glance.
The colouring
throughout is beautifully controlled and delicate. The soft blending on the
nurse’s uniform and the bedding creates a calm pastel look that suits the theme
perfectly, while the warm tones on the wooden bed frame add balance and warmth
to the overall design. The subtle shading on the teddy bear gives the image
depth without overpowering the gentle feel of the card. The layout itself works
really well because it allows the image to remain the main focus. The large
stitched panel gives the design plenty of breathing room, helping the soft
colouring stand out beautifully. The scalloped card edge adds a lovely
decorative finish without making the card feel too busy The rainbow and cloud
patterned background paper was also a really clever choice. It brings a little
extra brightness and positivity to the design while still keeping the overall
look soft and cheerful, which works perfectly for a get well card. This card is
a wonderful example of how clean layouts, soft colouring techniques, and
thoughtful image choices can come together to create something comforting,
sweet, and full of heart.
✨ Lisa
Lisa has created such a sweet and uplifting Get Well Soon card, filled with warmth, kindness, and beautifully balanced colour choices. The adorable pairing of the little puppy and teddy instantly gives the design a comforting and cheerful feel, which works perfectly for the theme.
The colouring on both
characters is beautifully blended, especially on the fur. The soft shading and
smooth transitions give the puppy a lovely fluffy texture, while the deeper
warm browns on the teddy create contrast and help the image stand out against
the lighter background. The bright pink flowers add a wonderful pop of colour
and bring extra energy and positivity to the overall design.
The layout has been
put together really thoughtfully. The striped background paper adds pattern and
interest without overwhelming the focal image, while the black matting frames
everything beautifully and gives the card a clean, polished finish. The shaped
panel also helps draw the eye directly to the main image and sentiment.
One of the strongest
parts of this design is the balance between softness and bold detail. The
colours are bright and cheerful, yet still gentle enough to suit a get well
card. The simple sentiment placement finishes the design perfectly without
distracting from the adorable scene.
This is such a
charming and well-composed project, full of personality, soft colouring
techniques, and thoughtful design choices that come together to create a card
guaranteed to make someone smile.
