Now to announce our lucky winner of the 3 Digi images from

the Polkadoodles shop

No 9 Scrappy horses

This beautiful winning creation captures a gentle, nostalgic

summer feel. The central image of the girl in her flowing blue

dress, viewed from behind, creates a quiet storytelling moment

as she holds a bouquet of cheerful daisies. The soft colouring

and subtle shading bring depth and warmth to the character

while keeping the overall look delicate and refined. The layered

background adds wonderful texture and interest, combining

patterned sunflower paper with rustic elements such as denim,

lace trim, twine, and a handmade fabric flower embellishment.

The distressed edges around the focal panel enhance the

vintage style and tie the whole design together beautifully. A

stunning blend of colour, texture, and thoughtful detail, this card

feels both heartfelt and professionally finished. A truly

deserving winner.

Our Top Three picked by Sharon

In no particular order:

No 8 Paper whims

This bright and cheerful card immediately catches the eye with

its bold red background and beautifully textured panel. The

strong colour choice gives the design real impact while allowing

the focal image to shine. The sweet little chick on a skateboard

is full of charm and personality, brought to life with vibrant

colouring and soft blending. The pink hat and tiny heart details

add a playful, romantic touch that fits the theme perfectly. The

scalloped circle frame keeps the layout clean and balanced,

while the simple “Love ya” sentiment adds just the right

finishing touch. A fun, fresh design that combines strong colour,

texture, and character beautifully. A very deserving Top Pick.

No 12 Nat

This beautiful circular card design immediately stands out with

its layered composition and sparkling red accents. The shape

adds interest and makes the whole piece feel special and

thoughtfully constructed. The colouring of the sweet couple is

soft and delicate, with lovely skin tones and gentle shading that

bring the characters to life. The subtle highlights and careful

blending create depth without overpowering the design. The

red bow detail and glittered elements add texture and

dimension, tying the romantic theme together perfectly. The

coordinating patterned papers and layered heart sentiment

finish the card beautifully, creating a cohesive and charming

design. A wonderfully crafted project and a very deserving Top

Pick.

No 20 Pauline C

This adorable Valentine card is full of warmth and charm. The

sweet James bear clutching the oversized heart immediately draws the

eye, and the colouring is beautifully blended, especially in the

rich reds and soft fur tones. The shading on the heart gives it

lovely dimension, while the subtle details in the bear’s fur add

depth and texture. The delicate die cut frame and scattered

heart background enhance the romantic theme without

overwhelming the focal image. The coordinating sentiment

panel and layered heart details complete the design perfectly,

creating a cohesive and heartfelt project. A beautifully executed

card and a very worthy Top Pick.

 Design Team Inspiration

Our Design Team have been hard at work putting together

some wonderful inspiration for this challenge, and we truly

appreciate the creativity and dedication they bring to each

fortnight. Their projects highlight a fantastic variety of styles,

colour palettes, and techniques, and we hope their work

inspires you to dive into your own creative ideas.

Helen

Using  That's tragic

Helen has created a wonderfully clean and characterful card

featuring this charming magician image. The colouring is soft

and beautifully blended, with gentle shading that gives the

character depth while keeping the overall look fresh and crisp.

The grey and red colour scheme is perfectly balanced, with the

red bow tie and hat band adding just the right pop of colour

against the neutral tones. The layered mats and dotted

background frame the design beautifully without overwhelming

the focal image. The simple “Wish Big” sentiment ties in

perfectly with the magical theme and keeps the layout modern

and uncluttered. A fabulous example of how effective clean

layering and thoughtful colouring can be.

✨ Judith

Using  Whizz doodles

Judith has created a magical design featuring this wonderful

wizard image, full of charm and character. The soft colouring

gives the wizard a gentle, storybook feel, with subtle shading in

the robe and beard adding depth without overpowering the

design. The background paper with its mystical symbols ties

beautifully into the theme, reinforcing the magical atmosphere.

The layered panels and bold black matting frame the image

perfectly, while the lilac embellishments add a lovely finishing

touch. The sentiment, “Wishing you the moon, the stars &

everything”, completes the card beautifully and enhances the

enchanting theme. A fabulous example of how thoughtful paper

choice and clean layout can elevate a character image.

✨ Lisa

Using  Spells for beginners

Lisa has created a striking magical card featuring this fabulous

wizard image, beautifully coloured in rich purples with vibrant

orange accents that really bring the character to life. The

shading in the robe and hat adds wonderful depth, while the

bright staff and spell book provide eye-catching detail. The

starry background paper perfectly enhances the magical

theme, creating a bold and cohesive design. The layered black

and purple mats frame the card beautifully and help the wizard

stand out against the busy background. The shaker-style

hourglass element is a fantastic focal point, adding movement

and texture to the design. The scattered “Love On Your Day”

sentiment pieces give the card a playful and creative touch,

tying everything together in a fun and imaginative way. A

brilliant example of how strong colour choices and thoughtful

layering can create real impact.

✨ Tinz

Using  Alchemy

Tinz has created a bold and vibrant magical design with this

colourful “Magic Potion” card. The soft watercolour-style

background in pinks, purples, and blues creates a dreamy,

mystical atmosphere that perfectly suits the theme. The central

image of stacked spell books topped with a potion bottle has

been beautifully coloured, with subtle shading that gives depth

to the books and a lovely glow to the potion itself. The soft pink

matting helps frame the image and keeps it grounded against the expressive background.

The glittered “MAGIC POTION” lettering adds fantastic sparkle

and texture, bringing a real sense of fun and enchantment to

the card. The vertical layout of the word “POTION” gives the

design a modern twist while balancing the composition

beautifully. A bright, eye-catching creation that captures the

magical theme perfectly.

✨ Sharon

Using  Spells for beginners

Sharon has created a fantastic birthday card featuring a

beautifully coloured wizard image as the focal point. The vibrant

green robe is expertly blended, with smooth shading that adds

depth and dimension, while the contrasting purple accents

provide strong visual balance throughout the design. The beard

and staff show careful use of tone variation, giving texture and

form without overpowering the main image.

The layered oval die cuts create a striking frame, drawing the

eye directly to the central character, and the addition of gold

glitter card adds a clean, structured border with just the right

amount of sparkle. The personalised “9th” sentiment is neatly

mounted for extra dimension, and the finishing embellishments

complete the design without overwhelming it.

A beautifully constructed card that combines confident

colouring with thoughtful layout and layering.

✨ Clare

Using  Whizz doodles

Clare has created a striking birthday card featuring a beautifully

coloured wizard as the focal point. The rich purple tones are

smoothly blended using careful light to dark transitions, giving

depth and dimension to the robe, while controlled shading

around the folds adds structure and movement to the fabric.

The beard and skin tones are softly layered, creating contrast

without overpowering the stronger robe colours and maintaining

balance across the image.

The magical sparkle details around the hands are enhanced

with precisely placed gems, adding both texture and controlled

highlights that draw the eye outward from the central figure.

The image is neatly matted onto coordinating layers, with even

borders that frame the focal panel cleanly and create strong

visual grounding. The soft, starry background complements the

wizard theme and adds atmosphere without competing with the

stamped image. The bold “Birthday Wishes” die-cut sentiment

provides a clear focal header and anchors the overall layout.

A well-constructed design that demonstrates confident

colouring, effective layering, and thoughtful composition

throughout.
