I LOVE PROMARKERS
& OTHER MEDIUMS
Welcome back to I Love
ProMarkers & Other Mediums and to our brand new Challenge #612. This
fortnight our theme is In the Pink, and we cannot wait to see the gallery
filled with beautiful pink-inspired creations.
This is such a lovely and
flexible theme, with plenty of room to make it your own. You might choose soft
blush tones, bright hot pinks, pretty florals, cute characters, romantic
designs, baby cards, birthday makes, or something bold and playful. As long as
pink is part of your project, we would love to see it.
Whether your style is
sweet and delicate, bright and cheerful, elegant and detailed, or clean and
simple, there are so many ways to bring this theme to life. Add ribbons,
sparkle, flowers, layers, die cuts, patterned papers, gems, or keep your design
beautifully minimal with a soft pink colour palette.
However you choose to
interpret In the Pink, we are really looking forward to seeing your creative
ideas and all the wonderful projects you bring to the challenge.
We are delighted to be
sponsored by Polkadoodles, whose wonderful digital images are perfect
for colouring and crafting.
As we were late putting #611 on the blog & entries are still active we will be announcing the winners with #612 in a fortnights time

you. Please email us using the contact details found at the top of the blog.

Design
Team Makes
Now it’s
time to take a look at what our Design Team have been creating for this
challenge. They have put together a wonderful collection of projects for our In
the Pink theme, each showing a different way to use pink within their designs.
From soft
blush tones and delicate details to brighter pink palettes full of fun and
energy, there is plenty of inspiration to enjoy. You will see a lovely mix of
styles, colour choices, layouts, and embellishments, all showing how versatile
this theme can be.
Some
projects keep the pink tones subtle and sweet, while others use them as a bold
and playful part of the design. We hope their fantastic creations inspire your
own pink-themed projects and encourage you to join in with us this fortnight.
✨ Jenn – Design Team Inspiration
We are delighted to share
Jenn’s first card as part of the I Love ProMarkers & Other Mediums
Design Team, and what a lovely way to begin.
Jenn has created a
beautiful card for our In the Pink theme, filled with soft pink tones,
pretty layers, and a wonderfully encouraging message. The sweet image of the
two little characters under the umbrella makes such a charming focal point,
bringing a gentle and thoughtful feel to the whole design.
The colouring is soft and
delicate, with the pink umbrella tying beautifully into the theme. The touches
of grey and yellow help the image stand out while keeping the overall look calm
and balanced. The little hearts and raindrops add extra detail and emotion,
making the scene feel really sweet.
The layered heart shapes
work beautifully behind the image, adding depth and drawing the eye into the
centre of the card. The patterned pink papers, ribbon-style trim, and banner
sentiment all work together to create a soft, pretty, and well-coordinated design.
The Don’t give up
sentiment is a lovely finishing touch, giving the card a meaningful and
encouraging message.
A beautiful first Design
Team card from Jenn, full of softness, pretty pink details, and thoughtful
charm. We are so pleased to have her joining the team.
✨ Lisa – Design Team Inspiration
Lisa has created a sweet
and beautifully clean card for our In the Pink theme. The adorable puppy
peeking out from the gift box makes such a charming focal point, and the heart
details give the whole design a lovely warm and affectionate feel.
The colouring is soft and
cheerful, with gentle peachy tones on the puppy and brighter pinks and reds
across the gift box, hearts, and bow. The deeper red details add a lovely pop
of contrast, while the softer pink shading keeps everything tied beautifully
into the theme.
The layout is clean and
modern, with lots of white space allowing the image to stand out clearly. The
angled pink frames add interest and movement without making the design feel too
busy, and they help draw the eye back towards the main image.
The Sending Love
sentiment is a perfect finishing touch, matching the sweet feel of the card and
giving it a thoughtful, caring message.
A lovely, fresh, and
beautifully balanced card with sweet colouring, pretty pink details, and plenty
of charm.
✨ Caroline
L
Caroline L is sadly
taking a little crafty break this time, as her wrist has decided it would
rather not colour anything at the moment.
We think her wrist may be
trying to join the Design Team as an independent artist, but for now it has
been firmly told to rest. Hopefully, Caroline will be back colouring again very
soon, once her hand stops objecting to pencils, pens, and anything remotely
creative.
✨ Sharon – Design Team Inspiration
Sharon has created a beautifully sweet and cheerful card for
our In the Pink theme, with a lovely mix of soft pink details, fresh
aqua tones, and adorable puppy charm. The image of the puppy peeking out from
the gift box makes a wonderful focal point and gives the whole card such a
warm, affectionate feel.
The colouring is bright and full of softness, with golden
tones through the puppy’s fur and pretty pink shading on the bow, hearts, and
smaller gift box. The aqua gift box adds a lovely contrast and helps the pink
details stand out even more clearly.
The layered scalloped frame around the image gives the card a
polished finish, while the patterned background papers tie everything together
beautifully. The tiny heart pattern, pink dotted strip, and stitched panels all
add detail without making the design feel too busy.
The flower embellishments in the corner are a lovely
finishing touch, adding texture and softness, while the heart accents in the
top corner balance the layout nicely. The Sending Puppy Cuddles
sentiment is perfect for the image and adds such a sweet, caring message.
A bright, pretty, and beautifully coordinated card with
lovely colouring, soft pink details, and plenty of puppy sweetness.
✨ Clare
Clare has created a sweet
and cheerful card for our In the Pink theme, using an adorable puppy image that
brings plenty of charm to the design. The little puppy peeking out from the
gift box makes a lovely focal point, and the heart details give the card a
warm, affectionate feel.
The colouring is soft and
pretty, with pink tones used beautifully across the gift box, bow, hearts, and
nose. The blue accents add a fresh contrast and help the pink details stand
out, while the warm brown shades on the puppy give the image a gentle, cuddly
look.
The layered layout works
really well, with the tilted image panel adding movement and interest. The pink
background paper and coordinating heart-patterned layer tie everything together
nicely, giving the card a soft and pretty finish.
The pearl embellishments
in the top corner add a lovely touch of detail, while the circular birthday
sentiment balances the design and gives the card a clear celebratory feel.
A sweet and beautifully
coordinated card with lovely colouring, pretty pink details, and plenty of
puppy charm.

✨ Helen
Helen is sitting this challenge out, as she has decided
that In the Pink is far too dangerous. One minute you add a little blush
pink, and before you know it, everything is pink, sparkly, and covered in
hearts.
Rather than risk being buried under pink papers, ribbons, gems, and
glitter, Helen has wisely stepped back this time and left the rest of us to
make the pink mess.
She will be back with us very soon, once the pink has been
safely contained.
✨ Ileana running late
✨Judith
Judith has created a
bright and pretty card for our In the Pink theme, with a lovely fairy image
taking centre stage. The design has such a cheerful feel, with the flowing
hair, flower crown, butterflies, and soft movement in the image giving it a
sweet magical touch.
The colouring fits the
theme beautifully, with pink tones used throughout the fairy’s hair, dress,
flowers, and background details. The deeper pink frame around the image helps
everything stand out clearly, while the softer shades add depth and keep the overall
look delicate and feminine.
The circular scalloped
frame is a lovely feature, drawing the eye straight to the image and giving the
card a polished finish. The white scalloped card base keeps the design fresh
and clean, allowing the pink details to really shine.
The pink gem
embellishments add sparkle and balance around the edges, while the Best Wishes
sentiment finishes the card perfectly.
A sweet, bright, and
beautifully pink card with lovely colouring, pretty sparkle, and plenty of
fairy charm.
✨Marjeta
Marjeta has
created a beautiful card for our In the Pink theme, with a sweet romantic feel
and lots of lovely detail. The adorable couple under the umbrella make a
charming focal point, and the Mr. & Mrs. sentiment gives the card a perfect
wedding or anniversary feel.
The
colouring is soft and pretty, with the pink umbrella, little hearts, and gentle
shading tying the image beautifully into the theme. The two characters have
been coloured with warm, delicate tones, giving them a sweet and affectionate
look.
The layered
scalloped circle behind the image works really well, drawing the eye into the
centre of the card and adding a bold pop of pink. The background papers are
beautifully coordinated too, with hearts, stripes, and soft pink tones giving
the design a romantic and cheerful finish.
The bunting,
flowers, butterfly, and small postage-style detail all add extra texture and
interest without overpowering the main image. Everything feels carefully placed
and nicely balanced.
A sweet,
romantic, and beautifully detailed card with lovely pink tones, pretty
embellishments, and plenty of charm.
